HP Connection Manager Service doesn’t start under Windows 2008 (R2)

5. November 2009
Hello everybody.
Today i had the error that the "HP Connection Manager Service" (SMManager for HP) didn’t start under Windows Server 2008 R2. When i tried to start the service i allways got the error "1075 The dependency service doe’s not exist….".
After searching a while which service doesn’t exist i found the correct one. It was the "Wlansvc" service.
For activating this service you just have to activate the following Windows 2008 (R2) Feature in the Server Manager:
Wireless Lan Service

After activating this service you can start the "HP Connection Manager Service" without any errors.
